Circle Design Group provided MEP design for this locally operated, non-profit arthouse cinema known as the Kan-Kan. Built in the Windsor Park community, the building is a welcoming presence for the community. The entry/lobby faces the north lawn with broad, generous windows. Three intimate theatres, varying from 39 to 140 seats, all provide superior sightlines. Serving the mission of the Indianapolis Film Project, the structure includes additional areas for lectures, exhibits and private film screenings.
The building also houses the Kan-Kan Brasserie which hosts 110 seats in a combination of open tables, booth, and flexible seating areas. Additional terrace and upper-level private dining provide views to the adjacent 1909 Spades Park Carnegie library.
