This 220,000 sf Natatorium was built in 1982 and was designed by our staff (prior to forming Circle Design Group). At the time, this venue was the largest indoor competition swimming venue in the US. To this day, the Natatorium remains one of our country’s finest indoor swimming and diving facilities with two 50-meter pools plus a separate diving well.
In 2015, we began design for major improvements including renovation of all MEP systems in the facility. When designed correctly and maintained, MEP systems should last 25 years. These systems, in a uniquely challenging environment, lasted 36 years.
